HONEST REVIEW: KLORANE DRY SHAMPOO (MALAYSIA)
Monday, January 13, 2020 • January 13, 2020 • 0 comments
Klorane is one of the new product recently entering our favorite drugstore; Watsons. The company claims that it is an “Award winning, ultra-gentle dry shampoo, with plant-based ingredients, eliminates oil, dirt and odors. Hair is clean with added volume and texture”.

A good dry shampoo should (1) revive 'limped' hair, (2) absorbs all the excess oil, (3) gives volume and (4) makes your hair look as if you just came back from a saloon!

So honestly speaking, I never heard of this Klorane if it’s not because of my sister getting a free sample. I have had a bad experience with dry shampoo previously that I was thinking this ‘dry shampoo trends’ are just not meant for me. I will talk about that in another review hopefully in the near future. But as a disclaimer before we go to the product review:

My Hair Type: thin, smooth and most of the time easily manageable
My Hair Concerns: hair loss & flat hair

My previous hair routine would be to wash my hair at least twice a week, however as I started entering clinical years here in medical school, that routine became harder to commit. So, I started using dry shampoo as a replacement for regular shampoos so that I do not have to wash my hair as frequent as before but still remain oily-free and manageable.

Ingredients: Butane, Propane, Isobutane, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, SD Alcohol 39-C (Alcohol Denat.), Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Oil, Benzyl Salicylate, Cetrimonium Chloride, Cyclodextrin, Cyclohexasiloxane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Fragrance, Hexyl Cinnamal Isopropyl Myristate, Limonene, Silica.
Note: Free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban.

Klorane dry shampoo helped me to achieve that oily-free hair for as long as I need to because obviously I won’t be too busy that I cannot even wash my hair during the weekend (YET, LMAO). And the most important thing is, it did not gave me a chalky feeling of the hair (like my previous dry shampoo did) and hair remained smooth and manageable right after! Klorane Dry Shampoo also helped to give a bit of a hair lift and volume for my always-so-flat-hair. Nowadays I can last up to 5 days without wet shampoo AT LEAST to reach the weekend! What a life savior isn't it? So siapa-siapa yang tak pernah try dry shampoo before this, korang boleh try Klorane Dry Shampoo.

There are three choices for Klorane Dry Shampoo, original tinted, non-tinted and specifically for oily scalp too! You can choose either according to your preference. It is VEGAN too. The price is about RM40+ available in all Watsons AND Sephora. Yeah, quite expensive compared to other drugstore's dry shampoo, however produced great result and for a hijabi like me, it lasted quite long.

My rating for this dry shampoo: 8/10
Repurchase: YES!!
